Cowessess First Nation Solid Waste Transfer Station

This project is to construct a new solid waste transfer station (SWTS) for Cowessess First Nation on previously cultivated land. New infrastructure includes an access road, full enclosure fence with gate, operator building, grade separated WTS with roll-off (RO) bins for some residential waste, and diversion bays for recyclable material.


Latest update

August 22, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until September 21, 2024.
