Reconstruction of a wooden heliport at Cap Rouge site (Saguenay)

The Canadian Coast Guard plans to replace a wooden heliport at Cap Rouge site, on the edge of the Saguenay Fjord. There is a fixed aid to navigation located at this site, which is accessible only by helicopter. The heliport is essential for inspections and maintenance required to maintain the service provided by this infrastructure for navigation on the Saguenay River. The scope of works involves dismantling the existing heliport, construction of the new heliport with concrete foundations, and transporting materials and debris by helicopter slinging. The new heliport is planned to be located in exactly the same place as the existing heliport. The topography site is a rocky escarpment.
