Replacement of Runway Paving and Lighting at the Heliport - Valcartier Military Base

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. The project scope includes the replacement of the asphalt and concrete tarmac shoulders, the replacement of the ground marking, the replacement of runway lighting, the replacement of the underground electrical distribution, the installation of a manhole for the underground circuits, the replacement and displacement of the runway lighting control shed and to install a new concrete surface of roughly 1300 square meters next to the existing helicopter parking area for a future sprung shelter.

March 28, 2023— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
