Food forest development at CFB Bagotville

This project involves work execution as well as labour supply, materials and tools necessary for a food forest development with an approximate 3 200 m2 area , near the CFB Bagotville residential neighborhood. The project approximate duration is 5 years and it includes: soil scarification, excavation, levelling and backfilling; The construction of a gazebo on a concrete slab and an entrance arch; a 40-foot-long container installation; others equipment installation such as picnic table, park bench and culture trays; the plantation of fruit trees and shrubs as well as various edible plants; pedestrian path development and finally, trenches digging for water and electricity connections. Excavated soils will be reused to backfill trenches and excess quantities will be disposed off-site.


Latest update

June 16, 2023— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
