Haut-Fond Prince Lighthouse Tower Rehabilitation

The scope of the project consists of the structural rehabilitation of the Haut-Fond Prince Lighthouse tower. It consists of minor interventions to the structure of the tower to extend its life and increase its capacity to withstand the loads to wich it is subjected. The mobilization of the contractor on site will be done by boat. The movement of workers during the works is also planned by boat. The project is planned to be executed between the beginning of September and the end of October. The duration of the work is approximately one month.

In more detail, the activities and related works included in the scope of work are as follows:

  • Mobilization and demobilization of the contractor on site;
  • Transportation of materials on and off site by boat;
  • Work to reinforce the base of the steel columns inside the lighthouse;
  • Work to reinforce the joint ties of the precast concrete panels inside the lighthouse;
  • Application of a coating to protect against corrosion of certain structural elements inside the lighthouse;
  • Management of residual materials and debris.
