New Fibre Installation
City West Cable and Telephone Corp. plans to install fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, to all residential homes in the Lach Klan (Gitxaala Nation) community. The project involves the installation of approximately 3.5 km of aerial fiber optic cable from the south of Kitkatla fuel station (covering residential houses to the south of the station), to the end of Harbour Rd.
The cable is to be attached to existing support structures such as utility/telephone poles that parallel existing roadways. Support structures may require structural improvements to support cable attachments.
