LNG Canada Export Terminal Project

LNG Canada Development Inc. is proposing the construction and operation of a natural gas liquefaction facility and marine terminal for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the District of Kitimat, British Columbia. The proposed project would convert natural gas to LNG, approximately 26 million tonnes per annum, for export to global markets. The project is expected to have a life of at least 25 years.


Latest update

April 6, 2021 — The Minister of Environment and Climate Change issued an amended Environmental Assessment Decision Statement to the proponent. The Analysis Report describes the amendments made to the Decision Statement.
