Cedar LNG Project

Cedar LNG Partners LP is proposing to construct and operate a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing facility and marine export terminal near Kitimat, British Columbia. The proposed project would process and liquefy natural gas to produce approximately 3 million tonnes of LNG per year and include storage capacity for up to 250,000 cubic metres of LNG. The proposed project would have a lifespan of at least 25 years.

The impact assessment was substituted to the Government of British Columbia on January 24, 2020. Information on the project review is available on British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Office’s website. Once the Government of British Columbia completes the impact assessment for the project, it will be submitted to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to support the federal project decision.
