Tla-o-qui-aht Nation: Ty-Hystanis Phase 2 Subdivision

Ty-histanis Phase 2 is the second phase of the Ty-histanis residential development for the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations' Esowista community. The work will include the development of 36 single-family and 2 multi-family residential lots on a single paved road (980 m in length), with new watermain, storm sewers, culverts, ditches, gravity sanitary sewer, sanitary pump station, sanitary forcemain, street lighting, box culvert. Work will include lot clearing, preparation and new home construction.

February 24, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The authority is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
