Washed Out Culvert and Roadway Repair at Heals Rifle Range - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. An existing road/culvert over Durrance Creek, approximately 900 meters northwest of the Rifle Range, has washed out and needs to be repaired/replaced in order to provide safe sentry and fire prevention access. The failed culvert will be removed and replaced with a larger diameter culvert, with culvert design details including size and materials to be confirmed following completion of a Fish Habitat Assessment. Following culvert installation, the existing road over the culvert will be repaired to restore sentry and fire prevention access.
