New private residential dock - 1922 Cardinal Crescent

The proposed project includes the installation of a private residential dock at the above noted property. The scope of work includes:

  • Installation of five (5) closed-form reinforced concrete columns on the upland for the fixed dock structure. The columns will be cast-in-place using closed-form molds to prevent contamination
  • Construction of a 4.9m × 3m fixed dock, mounted to the column assembly to provide a stable landing platform at the shoreline
  • Installation of a prefabricated 15.2m × 1.4m aluminum ramp, designed for strength, corrosion resistance, and year-round use
  • Installation of a prefabricated 3.7m × 7.6m moorage float
  • Moorage float will be secured using precast concrete anchor blocks and a marine-grade mooring chain. Shore-side eye bolts will also be pinned into the rock face and connected with a chain to secure the float during variable tidal conditions

Construction activities would take place from a work barge. The float, ramp and associated components will be fabricated off-site and transported to the site by a work barge. Works would be conducted during normal operating hours
