This project involves the installation of a CCTV system for monitoring operations on a recently completed extension to Taxiway E (Echo) at Victoria International Airport. The work includes narrow trenching for the installation of a power supply and the erection of a short (5m) open lattice-style pole to mount 3 cameras on. The tower installation is located south of Echo near the north terminus of Canora Road.

Construction activities will occur during normal business hours.  Types of activity include survey, trenching, electrical, and general materials handling. 

The project is located airside on the northeast region of the airport.  The project is fully contained airside and construction activities are not expected to affect airport operations.  Adjacent public roads may be affected when moving construction materials to the site but will be managed by road traffic flaggers.

July 26, 2021 - The public comment period on this project is closed.  The VAA is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects..
