Janvier Secondary Egress Road

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is proposing to construct and maintain a secondary egress road connecting the hamlet of Janvier and the Chipewyan Praire First Nation IR 149 to Highway 881. The new road will serve as a secondary road for emergency egress from these communities in the event of mass evacuation. The project area is located 3 km north of Janvier, connecting Nokohoo Road to Highway 881 (in SE 14-80-6-W4), crossing the Christina River and several wetlands along its route.
