Ruddock Creek Mine Project

Ruddock Creek Mining Corporation is proposing the construction, operation, and decommissioning of a new underground zinc-lead mine located between the headwaters of Ruddock Creek and Oliver Creek in the Scrip Range of the Monashee Mountains, approximately 155 kilometres northeast of Kamloops and 28 kilometres east of Avola, British Columbia. The project, as proposed, would have an ore production capacity of 3,000 tonnes per day over an anticipated mine life of eight years.

Latest update

August 5, 2014 - On July 15, 2014, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency commenced an environmental assessment and the Minister of the Environment approved the substitution of the federal environmental assessment process by that of the Government of British Columbia for this project.  For further information about the environmental assessment, consult the Project Information Centre on the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office’s website.
