Big Horn Reserve Water System

Stoney Tribal Administration plans to upgrade the water treatment and distribution infrastructure on Big Horn Reserve No. 144A. Proposed work includes a 10 km extension of existing distribution pipes, the upgrade of each existing well's long-term yield and peak withdrawal capacity, an upgrade of the existing filtration process, and to upgrade the existing reservoir to 900 m3. Construction and vegetation clearing activities have the potential to impact wetlands, as well as at risk species of both wildlife and vegetation.
