Pine Bungalows Master Plan 2021

This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.
The proposed Master Plan of Pine Bungalows aims to meet the Organizational Capacity Assessment's recommended guest capacity, to improve guest amenities, and to increase much needed staff accommodation. A new highway property sign will replace the old highway sign. The old over-head property entrance sign will be replaced. A Licence of Occupation will be requested for a small area in front of cabins 1-32 to allow for chairs, picnic tables, fire grills. Heat trace will be installed around water pipes to ensure water during the early and late part of the properties operating season. The re-pavement of the off-lease Cottonwood Creek Road will be pursued with Parks Canada. Seven (7) cabins will be removed, and the equivalent floor space will be developed into two (2) family-sized guest cabins that adhere to Parks Canada's design guidelines. A small on-site restaurant will be built in the footprint of the existing laundry building and the current bistro space repurposed as Pine Bungalows Lounge and Kumama Grocery.
