Parks Canada Agency Valley of the Five Lakes Trail Restoration

This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment. The Valley of the Five Lakes Trail experienced severe damage during the 2024 wildfire and remains closed. Parks Canada is proposing to formalize an existing 350 m social trail between two key intersections by establishing a new trail alignment (100 m) that forms a loop, offering visitors an alternate route.

Latest update

October 14, 2025 – Parks Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
