Trans Mountain Miette River Encroachment 1.25

Trans Mountain Pipeline (Trans Mountain) proposes to remove a log jam from the Miette River that is redirecting water flow toward its NPS 36" pipeline at 1KP385.6. The work would be completed using a helicopter with support from a ground crew. Logs will be cut into manageable sections, rigged, and airlifted out of the river. The cut logs would be transported by helicopter to an existing clearing along the north edge of the pipeline right-of-way, where they would be left. The Project area is approximately 3,000 m²; this includes the log jam and the log placement area. Site access may require traffic control from Highway 16. Anticipated equipment includes a helicopter, chainsaws, and a boat if required.
