Waheeba Solar Energy Project

Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation proposes to construct a new photovoltaic energy facility on 25-55-4-W5M in Alexis First Nation, Alberta. The facility will consist of a fenced project area comprising 20-25 acres, which will enclose solar panels, racking, underground collector lines, inverters, a distribution line interconnection, and access roads. Activities of the proposed project will include biophysical and technical assessments, staking, clearing, construction, clean-up, and re-vegetation.
