ATCO Gas Main Installation for NEDA Commercial Stage 1, Millennium Phase 1, and Community Recovery Center

ATCO is proposing the installation of below-ground natural gas distribution pipe to service NEDA Commercial Stage 1, Millennium Phase 1 and the Community Recovery Center at Enoch Cree Nation. For NEDA Commercial Stage 1, project work will involve installation of approximately 775m of 168mm (6") and 1975m of 114mm (4") and 30m of 60mm (2") of polyethylene distribution mains in a 4-party shared joint trench with communications and power conduits. It will also include installation of approximately 215m of 88mm (3") PE service on Enoch Cree Nation Reserve in order to service a new development (River Cree Golf and Games) by a gas-only trench matter. For Millennium Phase 1, project work will involve installation of approximately 2400m 114mm (4") of polyethylene distribution mains in a 4-party shared joint trench with communications and power conduits. It will also include installation of approximately 200m 15mm (1/2") PE service to service 105 new residential units on Enoch Cree Nation Reserve. For the Community Recovery Center, project work will involve installation of approximately 810m 114mm (4") PE polyethylene distribution mains in a 4-party shared joint trench with communications and power conduits. It will also include installation of approximately 30m of 60mm (2") PE service on Enoch Cree Nation Reserve in order to service the Recovery Center.

April 17, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
