New Fibre Installation

Xplore Inc. plans to install underground fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, to all residential homes in Pigeon Lake 138A. The project involves the installation of approximately 1,747km of underground and aerial fiber optic cable. From the tower located close to Pigeon Lake 138A, the fibre is deployed from Highway 13W, continuing onto 1 Avenue, and going northeast to 1 Street towards the intersection of Township Rd 470. Furthermore, fibre will be deployed along Range Road 410, close to Elk Island National Park.

The cable will be buried by directional drilling, trenching, or using existing conduits, or a combination of these methods in existing roadway alignments, but will be suspended on support structures to connect to residential homes and businesses.
