Enoch Cree Nation Wastewater System Upgrades

Enoch Cree Nation is located on the western limit of the City of Edmonton, situated within Treaty No. 6 Territory lands. The Nation is comprised of one main reserve (Stony Plain 135) with approximately 5,306 hectares. The project includes upgrades to the existing wastewater systems to provide wastewater collection and treatment in the community, for the next 10 years. The wastewater system upgrades for the Village area consist of gravity sewers upgrades, construction of a sewage pumping station (SPS) and forcemain, re-purposing of the existing lagoons by installing aeration equipment, installation of a Submerged Attached Growth Reactor (SAGR) and conveying treated effluent to Yekau Lake wetland area (this is the existing effluent discharge location for the lagoons). For the North East Development Area (NEDA), the works include gravity sewers upgrades, the construction of the Millennium area SPS and forcemain, main SPS upgrades and construction of a equalization/storage tank. See Attachment A for the site location map and the proposed upgrades.
