Remediation of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Property in Stony Plain, Alberta

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are proposing to complete an environmental assessment and possible soil remediation at an RCMP owned property in the Town of Stony Plain, Alberta. Project consists of assessment of onsite soil conditions, potential removal of hydrocarbon contaminated soil, and disposal of contaminated soil offsite at a certified landfill.


Latest update

May 19, 2021 - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting public comments until June 17, 2021 respecting that determination.
