Paul First Nation Solar Energy Project Interconnection Line

AltaLink proposes to construct a 69 kilovolt (KV) interconnection line of approximately 160 m length between the 37 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic solar energy project (Paul Band Solar Project) on Lot 2 of the Wabamun I.R. 133A land south of Wabamun, AB, and the existing 69 kV transmission line (234L) that borders Lot 2 (the Project).The Project will consist of erecting poles, stringing 3 phase conductors, and connecting to the Paul Solar Project substation and the existing AltaLink 234L 69kV transmission line.

March 20, 2026 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
