Culvert Replacement with Larger Diameter

A new culvert needs to be installed on the boundary road north of Osten Lake Camping access on RR 205. The culvert has collapsed and completely rusted out and the site is currently flooded due to beaver activity and Strathcona County culvert failure on RR 205.Currently beavers have a deep run/washout through the boundary road making it impassable. The new culvert will be a larger diameter (600mm) due to the sizes that are currently kept in stock for replacements. The old culvert was 450mm. The work will take place when there is no water flow through the boundary road. Three inch minus pit run gravel will be used to fill the road base on the top and sides of the new culvert. Strathcona County plans to repair the culvert through RR 205.
