OS-7266 Authorization to Construct and Operate a Surface Lease for an access road and for a multiwell oil pad

A surface lease consisting of a 369.9m long access road and 2.83 ha. area for drilling and operating a multiwell oil padsite will be constructed and maintained for the operating life of the well(s), then decommissioned and reclaimed before the lease agreement is surrendered.

The newly proposed padsite and access road have been configured to avoid direct impacts to wetland areas and fish bearing water bodies, while utilizing the portion of an existing access into the area.

February 13, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indian Oil and Gas Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
