Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation - Solid Waste Transfer Station

The Proposed Project

The project consists of the construction of a new solid waste transfer site for the Ministikwan Lake and Mudie Lake communities on NE-32-58-25-3WM. Infrastructure installed will include an attendant building with power, a cold storage shed, pre-cast concrete lock block walls, guardrail systems, chain-link perimeter fence, as well as gravel and concrete pads for waste bins. A drainage swale will be placed around the perimeter of the site. The transfer station will be just under 2.7 acres. It is expected to provide a minimum of 25 years of municipal solid waste disposal services.

May 5, 2023 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination Notice of Determination for Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation Solid Waste Transfer Station (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
