Pelican Lake Farms - farm site development

The Proposed Project

Pelican Lake First Nations is initiating steps to create a community corporate farming operation, which will include cattle and crop production.  With a farm site required, PLFN is looking to create a farm yard.  This yard will consist of shop, residence, grain storage, grain dryer, and fuel storage.  The fuel storage will be a Foremost 65,000L tank.   Electricity and Natural Gas is also required on the site for power and heat for operations and residence.   The yard site will consist of approximately 20 acres to facility future grow.   

Residence - 1600sqft RTM ( Cistern and Septic Tanks )
Shop (heated)  - 80 x 120
Shop (cold) - 80 x 120
Natural Gas lines to residence, shop, and grain dryer
Power lines to residence, shops, grain dryer and more
Fuel Tank - 65,000L Diesel Storage.

April 5, 2023 - ISC and PC issued their notice of determination Notice of Determination for Pelican Lake Farms - farm site development (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
