SaskPower Pole Replacement near Rec Hall

SaskPower is proposing to replace an urban power pole, transformer, and take off equipment, then trench and lay approximately 30 metres (m) of secondary cable to a customer owned splitter, at which point the customer will be responsible to connections.  Ground disturbance will be limited to the base of the pole and the short run of trenching.   The work will take place near an existing underground cable, within a developed area and existing roadways in NW-10-057-01 W3M, within the Waskesiu Townsite in Prince Albert National Park (the Project).  The Project is required to provide an additional service point near the library/recreation hall.

Equipment that is expected to be used for completion of the Project includes: a digger truck, back-hoe, trenching equipment, and crew trucks.  Access to components of the Project will make use of existing roads and trails.  Surface disturbance is expected to be minimized to the base of the pole and 30 m of trenching.
