Saskatoon Airport Solar - 1MW Project

The Proposed Project

This project involves the design build of a 1MW ground mounted solar facility on airport lands. Site preparation activities will include geo-technical studies, surveys, and environmental studies.

The Saskatoon Airport Authority is responsible for the management, operation and development of the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport and as such, is the lead authority on this project.

Environmental description includes greenfield surrounded by industrial/commercial land.

2025-03-05 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Saskatoon Airport Authority is/are considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
