SaskPower Ground Mount Transformer Installation Red Deer Campground

SaskPower is proposing to install a ground-mount transformer and ground grid along an existing underground line.  The installation will require trenching approximately 10 metres (m) of primary cable and 5 m of secondary cable to a customer owned splitter.   Two bell holes will need to excavated for splicing in the new run of underground cable.   The work will take place along an existing underground distribution line, within a developed trailer park campground in NW 15-057-01 W3M, within Prince Albert National Park (the Project).  The Project is required to provide an additional service point to an existing customer.

Equipment that is expected to be used for completion of the Project includes: a digger truck, back-hoe, trenching equipment, and crew trucks.  Access to components of the Project will make use of existing roads and trails.  Surface disturbance is expected to be minimized to the bell holes and 15 m of trenching.  Each bell hole is not expected to exceed 10 m2.
