SaskPower Underground Cable Install at Kapasiwin Bungalows

SaskPower is proposing to install approximately 10 metres (m) of secondary underground cable in order to provide power service to an existing customer in Kapasiwin Bungalows. Associated splice pits will be required adjacent to a customer supplied splitter and an existing pad-mount transformer for the installation of the underground cable. Upon testing, the installation of additional ground rods, or replacement of an existing ground grid located adjacent to the existing pad-mount transformer may be required. The underground cable will be trenched-in between the existing pad-mount transformer and the customer supplied splitter in the park. The project is not expected to require any new vegetation clearing. The project is required to provide power service to an existing customer in Kapasiwin Bungalows within the Park.
Equipment that is expected to be used for completion of the Project includes: a rubber-tired back-hoe, a chain trencher, a crew truck, and if required, a digger boom truck. Access to components of the Project will make use of an existing road and the SaskPower right-of-way (ROW). Surface disturbance is expected to be minimized to the trenching, associated splice pits, and if necessary, the installation of additional ground rods, or the replacement of the existing ground grid.
