SaskPower New U/G Cable and Transformer at Kapasawin Bungalows

SaskPower is proposing to splice into existing underground service, then trench approximately 80 metres (m) of primary cable to a new installation of a padmount transformer.  Two bell holes will need to excavated for splicing in the new run of underground cable.   The work will take place near an existing underground cable, within a developed area and existing roadways and paths in NW 22-057-01 W3M, within Prince Albert National Park (the Project).  The Project is required to provide an additional service point at a sewer pump station.

Equipment that is expected to be used for completion of the Project includes: a digger truck, back-hoe, trenching equipment, and crew trucks.  Access to components of the Project will make use of existing roads and trails.  Surface disturbance is expected to be minimized to the bell holes and 80 m of trenching.  Each bell hole is not expected to exceed 10 m2.
