Electrical Power Upgrade for Building 650 (B650) at Garrison Wainwright

The purpose of the project is to increase the electrical capacity and to provide emergency back-up power for Building 650.

Project activities include:

  • Replace the existing pad-mounted transformer; and
  • Upgrade the electrical services installation (inside and outside building).

Upgrading includes:
o Demolishing and capping off existing duct bank and installing a new duct bank
o Installing UPS (300kVA at 20'x8')
o Installing Generator (750kW at 30'x10')

The Generator will include a fuel tank of size to suffice for 8-hours of continuous operation at full load
