Ya Ha Tinda Ranch Solar Array

Parks Canada is proposing the installation of a 24kW Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Array and microgrid at the Ya Ha Tinda Ranch in an effort to green operations and reduce current generator use at the site. The array is intended to lessen fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions created from the use of diesel generators that power the site due to its remote location. It is anticipated the new solar array and supporting microgrid will cut operating costs and reduce CO2 emissions by ~78 tonnes annually.
