Small-scale habitat enhancement for bears near Lake Louise, Alberta

The purpose of this project is to test the effectiveness of small-scale forest thinning to create alternate foraging patches for bears at locations that are away from roads and other human infrastructure. Exclusion fencing may be concurrently used to promote the use of newly created alternate foraging patches. This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.
