453 Marten Street - Best Western Plus Siding 29 Lodge Exterior Upgrades and Renovation

The project consists of renovations to the existing hotel, including adding a 4th floor, updating exterior finishings of the entire building, removing approximately 5 mature trees, and re-landscaping. The added 4th floor will incorporate 3 new residential units (staff housing). Additionally, at ground level, additions will include 3 exterior residential storage units (built under existing decks on either end of the building), an entrance portico, and a garbage enclosure building.

Latest update

August 1, 2024 – Parks Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Parks Canada is inviting public comments until August 31, 2024 respecting that determination.
