Town of Banff Recreation Grounds Redevelopment and New Pedestrian Bridge

The town of Banff (ToB) is proposing to continue to redevelop the existing Recreation Grounds over the next 5 years. The project is comprised of a variety of sub-projects to implement the 2015 concept plan. The proposed works include the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Bow River to connect Central Park with the Recreation Grounds and multiple other elements as follows:
• New south trail for horses, north trail realignment, new central trail and overall wayfinding redevelopment
• New multi-purpose building with deep service lines, toboggan hill and winter outdoor skating rink
• Basketball court re-surfacing, playground and bike park redevelopment
• New maintenance building and yard, and a new picnic area west of existing sports field
