AirSprint Apron Expansion

Project Overview:

The intent of this project will be to expand the existing AirSprint rampway apron by approximately 2,220 sq.m to the northwest. The new extension will entail partial demolition of an existing parking lot where the footprint of the new apron is proposed. The remainder of the existing area impacted is currently grass. The intention of the rampway expansion is to maximize the developed footprint to the northwest property line adjacent to the existing Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) facility, providing additional space for AirSprint to operate and expand their fleet.

Description of General Project Activities:

A general contractor will be performing, but not limited to, the following activities for the project:

- Excavate to suitable sub-grade for placement of new apron asphalt structure. Including demolition of existing parking area.

- Installation of drainage infrastructure including storm drain piping, oil/water separator and manholes.

- Installation of electrical lighting

- Partial replacement of SAIT access gate and site perimeter fencing.

- Paving

Project activities are expected to be performed by personnel using a combination of heavy equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, paving equipment and various handheld or small operated power tools.
