Banff Air Strip Structure Removal

Parks Canada is proposing to remove all non-emergency assets/structures at the Banff Airstrip, including two aircraft hangers and two aboveground storage tanks. This work will improve the safety for people and wildlife alike by reducing the current environmental footprint while removing hazards from abandoned structures. The airstrip itself will remain in place as an emergency landing site.
