FortisAlberta Cascade 177S Substation Maintenance

FortisAlberta is proposing to replace ~153 m of existing underground conduit and cables adjacent to the Cascade 177S Substation in Banff National Park. The conduit and cables run south from the substation, under the Trans-Canada Highway, the Banff Legacy Trail and the Canadian Pacific Rail track. Affected poles and associated hardware connected to this section of line and the substation will also be replaced. The project should take ~4-6 weeks and is proposed to start spring 2022.
