Larkhill Avenue Reconstruction - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Shilo

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. In general, the work includes:

  1. Removal of existing roadway, sidewalks, storm sewer and watermain along Larkhill Avenue from Kingston Avenue to Notre Dame Avenue/St. Barbara Avenue.
  2. New storm sewers and catch basins along Larkhill Avenue.
  3. New watermain and hydrant along Larkhill Avenue from Esquimalt to Notre Dame Avenue/St. Barbara Avenue.
  4. New sidewalks, new paving, and new two-way bike lane.

Latest update

May 29, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
