Aldershot Road Reconstruction - Canadian Forces Base Shilo

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed Road Reconstruction at Canadian Forces Base Shilo. In general, the work includes:

  • Removal of existing roadway, sidewalks, storm sewer and watermain along Aldershot Road.
  • New base, subbase granular materials and asphalt paving.
  • New underground utilities including storm, sanitary, and water.

Asphalt paving will include all the necessary labour, tools, equipment, and materials for construction activities relating to asphalt paving works including the supply and install roadways, residential areas and any other areas associated with asphalt paving work.

Latest update

April 12, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
