Reconstruct Underwater Demolition Range- 5th Canadian Division Support Base (CDSB) Gagetown

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project for the reconstruction of the underwater demolition range located in the Range and Training Area of 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown. The project will involve creating a gravel parking area as well as installing a flagpole and gate. Some minor vegetation management will be completed to support use of the demolition range.

This project may require coordination with multiple regulatory agencies. 5th Canadian Division Environmental Services Branch will lead coordination. The project page will be updated as new information becomes available.


Latest update

September 22, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
