Cap-Lumière DFO-SCH Containment Cell Construction

The proposed project at the Cap-Lumière SCH consists of the construction of a new containment cell for dredge material, located in the southwest corner of the SCH property, just outside the harbour basin and adjacent to the entrance channel. The project will have a total footprint of approximately 3480 m² including approximately 1840 m² of new rock berm.

Notice of Intent to Make a Determination – Start of Public Comment Period

 

April 24, 2024 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH), Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Fish and Fish Habitat Protection Program (DFO-FFHPP) and Transport Canada (TC) intend to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO and TC are inviting public comments until May 24, 2024 respecting that determination.
