2025 BioVectra Aqueous Waste Treatment Building

The proposed 2025 BioVectra Aqueous Waste Treatment Building will be comprised of a new single storey building dedicated for the treatment of aqueous waste on-site prior to discharge to municipal sewer. This is a replacement of an existing outdoor aqueous waste treatment system that is at end of life and requires capacity upgrades. The expansion will consist of a steel framed structure clad with insulated metal panels that will be constructed on site. The construction of the new building will include upgraded facilities for the treatment of aqueous waste generated on-site. It will include a single storey structure with a footprint of 114 m2 (1,224 ft2) comprising entirely of utility space for treatment of aqueous waste and ancillary equipment. The aqueous waste treatment system consists of three 15,000L enclosed treatment tanks with a maximum daily treatment capacity of approximately 145,350L. The proposed building is in previously developed areas (i.e., existing outdoor aqueous waste treatment system area) with no woodland or sensitive ecological habitat (i.e., wetlands) on the project footprint.

During the construction phase, stormwater runoff and sediment control measures will be provided by the site contractor and reviewed by the Construction Project Manager on a regular basis. This will include installing silt fencing, straw bales and other measures as
required.

All construction debris (including any excess site soils) will be disposed of in a provincially approved manner. Any monitoring wells on the proposed expansion footprint would be decommissioned/relocated as required.

During construction and operation (including accidents, potential malfunctions and unplanned events) all municipal, provincial and federal codes, standards and best management practices will be followed.
