Îles-de-la-Madeleine Airport - Installation of a shelter and parking lot

The proposed project consists of installing a shelter and  a parking lot with ground anchors for aircrafts at the Iles-de-la-Madeleine airport. The area of the shelter is estimated at approximately 3250 square feet. The parking area is estimated at approximately 40,000 square feet. Resurfacing will be required, with either asphalt or concrete.

The machinery used will be a bulldozer and a roller compactor.

The work is scheduled for spring 2022.

March 17th 2022 – Transport Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting public comments until April 16th 2022 respecting that determination.
