Fish Fence Installations - Cheticamp and Clyburn Rivers - Cape Breton Highlands
This is a non-designated project on federal lands or outside Canada. The listed authorities are responsible for the project assessment.
This project calls for the installation of two fish fences, tentatively scheduled for May 2020 across the Clyburn and Cheticamp Rivers, Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The overall objective is to help monitor Atlantic salmon populations with aims at determining population estimates during this period of installation. A research permit was also issue for the salmon research program. Where situated, both fences will span the width of respective rivers. Daily monitoring will be required to acquire the needed biophysical data.
