Maintenance Dredging – Grande-Entrée Fishing Harbour

The Small Craft Harbours Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada proposes to undertake maintenance dredging at Grande-Entrée fishing harbour, located in Magdalen Islands, in the Québec province.

 

The maintenance dredging aims to provide safe and accessible facilities for local fishermen. 

 

The scope of this project includes maintenance dredging of the channel.

 

The proposed dredging will be carried out by means of a barge with opening bottom, a hydraulic shovel or a crane equipped with a half shell bucket.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has issued a notice of determination and decided that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This notice of determination is being issued by Fisheries and Oceans Canada under the Impact Assessment Act. Fisheries and Oceans Canada has decided that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Mitigation measures will be implemented for the following: air, water, fish.
