Darnley Bridge Small Craft Harbour Basin Dredging

The project includes land-based dredging of an approximately 20 meter by 20 meter section of the basin at Darnley Bridge Small Craft Harbour (SCH). A total volume of approximately 550 m3 of basin material will be excavated from the basin to bring it to a depth of 1.5 m below chart datum. The dredged material will be loaded into water-tight dump trucks and transported for temporary storage at the Malpeque Cove DFO-SCH site, until a permanent disposal site is determined. The project is anticipated to start in early June, 2020 and is expected to take approximately 1 week to complete. Project commencement is subject to DFO-SCH operational priorities and funding, as well as other regulatory approval processes, which could delay the completion of the project to March, 2021.
